The main function of purified water equipment is filtration. The produced water is very clean and has no odor. However, it is inevitable that factors affecting device filtering will occur during use. The following are some factors that affect the filtration of water purification equipment:

1、 Suspension concentration

1. The high concentration and excessive filtration residue shorten the effective filtration time of each operation cycle in batch production, affecting the output of water purification equipment.

2. For the operation of a continuous vacuum filter, the filter cake produced at high concentrations is uniform and easy to clean in a timely manner, with little impact on the water purification equipment.

2、 Temperature

1. When filtering, the suspension has low temperature, high viscosity, and slow filtration speed, and the crude oil filtration temperature generally does not exceed 70 degrees Celsius.

2. The viscosity of a liquid is an exponential function of temperature, and as the temperature increases, the viscosity significantly decreases. Raising the temperature is a simple measure to reduce viscosity, but too high a temperature can easily oxidize the oil.

3、 Operating pressure

1. Most impurities in crude oil are incompressible, with high operating pressure and fast filtration speed.

2. If the solid substance suspended in oil is composed of colloidal substances, as the pressure increases, the gap in the filter cake of the pure water equipment becomes smaller, the filtration resistance gradually increases, and the filtration speed rapidly decreases. Therefore, the pressure needs to be determined according to different situations.

4、 Filter media and filter aids

1. Water purification equipment often uses stainless steel wire woven filters, 30-40 pores/cm for crude oil filtration, and 140-180 pores/cm for decolorized oil filtration.

2. The selection of filter media will affect the clarity of the filtered oil and the smoothness of cake unloading. The filtration media used in the oil and fat industry for water purification equipment are mostly woven media, commonly used are cotton fabrics such as canvas, twill, 20 yarn 5-8 strand ordinary fine white cloth, etc.

3. Commonly used chemical fiber products include 130 #, 240 #, 260 #, 261 # polyester filter cloth, 828 # vinylon filter cloth, etc. A layer of fine white cloth or flannel is covered on the coarse filter cloth for crude oil filtration, while a few strands are used for essential oil filtration.
