Ultra pure water machine is an instrument commonly used in laboratories, and the ordinary type of ultra pure water machine mainly uses reverse osmosis membrane technology. Its working principle is to apply a certain pressure to water, causing water molecules and ionic mineral elements to pass through the reverse osmosis membrane. However, the vast majority of inorganic salts (including heavy metals), organic matter, bacteria, viruses, etc. dissolved in water cannot pass through the reverse osmosis membrane, thus strictly separating the permeated pure water from the permeated concentrated water. We should pay attention to the issues related to the use and maintenance of the ultra pure water machine during use, otherwise it may cause quality problems of the water. In this regard, laboratory personnel should take it seriously and not damage the equipment or affect the experimental results due to carelessness. What is the reason why ordinary ultrapure water machines do not produce water?
The situation where the ultrapure water machine does not produce water is generally caused by two types of faults: the water system and the electrical control system. The following areas can be checked:
1、 Abnormal waterway system:
1. Check if the inlet ball valve is in an open state;
2. Check if the source water pressure is above 0.1MPA;
3. Check if there is any blockage in the first three stages of pre-treatment filter cartridges;
4. Check if the outlet pressure of the booster pump is above 0.5MPA;
5. Check if there is pure water flowing back during the operation of the check valve;
6. Check if the flow rate of RO membrane pure water outlet is normal;
7. Check if the water in the pressure bucket is flowing normally and if there is any situation where the water in the bucket cannot be discharged;
8. Check if the pressure test of the rear activated carbon is normal.
9. Check if the joints and bottle stoppers are blocked.
2、 Abnormal circuit system:
1. Check if the power plug has power and if the plug is properly inserted;
2. Check if the current and voltage at the output terminal of the transformer are normal;
3. For computer-based products, first check whether the safety tube has melted or broken;
4. Check if there is any loose connection or poor contact on the computer wiring board;
5. Short circuit the two wires on the low-voltage switch directly to check the operation of the low-voltage switch, and check whether the equipment starts working when the pressure is above 0.1MPA;
6. Short circuit the two wires on the high-voltage switch directly to check the operation of the high-voltage switch. Check whether the high-voltage switch is turned off when the pure water pressure reaches 0.25MPA and starts working when it is less than 0.2MPA;
7. Check if the booster pump is working properly and if the pressure at the outlet can reach 0.5MPA or above;
8. Check whether the inlet solenoid valve is open and closed normally, and whether there is any related loose situation;
9. Check if the cleaning solenoid valve is working properly.
